A word from … André Lotterer

Japan is a second home for a Audi driver. The sixth turn of a FIA World Endurance Championship WEC starts here on Oct 11.

How critical is Japan to you?

I adore a country, suffer vital here, have good honour for a people and adore Japanese cuisine. I’ve been racing in Japan given 2003 and have lived in Tokyo now for many years. The WEC competition during Fuji is a kind of home competition for me, and we demeanour brazen to it since of this. The spectators are eager – sports automobile races have a good tradition in Japan.

What are your sporting goals with your teammates Marcel Fässler and Benoît Tréluyer?

We won dual races during a start of a season. After holding dual third places in summer, we were second many recently in Texas. To be ideally honest, I’ll usually be happy when my teammates and we won during Fuji with Audi. We know only what a plea this will be from a past. The lane is really severe for a technicians and us. And not forgetful that a continue in Oct in a plateau can play a vital role. Two years ago there was complicated rain, final year a gale was distracted during a time and only missed us.

Will we only stay in Japan for a WEC race?

No, I’m now spending several weeks in Japan. After a competition in Austin, we spent a few days in America before drifting to Tokyo. I’ll also stay in a nation after a competition during Fuji. After a 6-hour race, it’s roughly a tiny tradition now that we entice a whole Audi group on Monday to a large celebration in Tokyo. A week after we competition during Sugo in a north of Japan. The subsequent WEC competition in China is afterwards on a bulletin on Nov 1.
