Mississauga, Ont. – Today, Nissan announced Stephen Lester, currently managing director, INFINITI Canada, is promoted to managing director of Nissan Motor Co. (Australia) Pty. Ltd. In his new role effective September 4, Lester will be based Melbourne, Australia.
“Since taking over at the helm of INFINITI Canada in 2015, Stephen has consistently demonstrated his exceptional leadership capabilities, building a cohesive team both within the Canadian head office and our retailer network,” said Randy Parker, vice president, INFINITI Americas. “Stephen will bring a breadth of experience and vision to his new role in Australia and we wish him tremendous success in this exciting next step of his career.”
Lester joined INFINITI Canada in August 2014, after holding several management positions with another luxury brand, specifically in regional management and brand marketing. He spent two years developing his international automotive experience based in Munich.
Succeeding Lester, Adam Paterson is promoted to managing director, INFINITI Canada, effective September 4. In the six years Paterson has been with Nissan Canada Inc., he’s held several positions with both the Nissan and INFINITI brands, most recently as regional general manager, western Canada, Nissan Canada Inc., and prior to this, senior manager, chief marketing manager, INFINITI Canada.
Paterson has over 10 years of automotive experience including holding a variety of positions within sales and distribution, dealer operations and wholesale and field operations. He will report to Randy Parker, and be based in Toronto.
“I’ve had the pleasure of working with Adam when he led INFINITI’s marketing efforts in Canada, and his commitment and exceptional abilities were very apparent to all those who work with him,” added Parker. “We’re excited to see him excel in this very important role.”
