MISSISSAUGA, ONT. – Nissan today announced total Canadian sales for December of 9,476 units, an increase of 16.5 per cent and a December record, marking 29 months of consecutive sales growth. For calendar year 2015, the Nissan Group set an all-time record with 129,976 total Canadian sales, an increase of 12.6 per cent over 2014.
Nissan Division 2015 calendar year highlights:
- In 2015, Nissan Division set an all-time record with 118,655 total sales, exceeding the 100,000 unit annual sales milestone for the second time, up 12.8 per cent over 2014.
- Nissan set calendar-year sales records for Micra, LEAF, Rogue, Murano, Armada, Frontier and NV200.
- The Nissan Rogue crossover remains the best-selling vehicle in the line-up with annual sales of 35,841 units, up 24.3 per cent over 2014.
- Sales of the Murano flagship crossover reached an all-time high in 2015 to 10,128, up 115.2 per cent.
- In 2015 Nissan sold 1,233 LEAF vehicles, up 13.6 per cent over 2014.
December 2015 highlights:
- Nissan Division set a December record with 8,555 sales, up 16.7 per cent.
- Rogue set a December record of 2,620 units sold, marking 25 consecutive months of record sales, while the JUKE sport crossover’s sales grew 52.2 per cent to 271.
- Sales of the Murano are up 133.6 per cent to 876 units, setting a December record.
- Sales of the all-electric Nissan LEAF totalled 122, up 90.6 per cent and a December record.
- Sales of the NV200 compact cargo van set a December record at 143, an increase of 116.7 per cent.
Infiniti Division December 2015 highlights:
- Infiniti Division set an annual record with total deliveries of 11,321
- December sales totalled 921 units in Canada, an increase of 15.0 per cent versus 801 units a year earlier and its best December on record.
