Jon Rahm has crowned himself the European Tour’s best player of the season. By winning the DP World Tour Championship, he simultaneously claimed the Race to Dubai, the European Tour’s overall ranking. He is only the fourth player to have won both in the same season.
2019 has been a very successful year for Jon Rahm. He won the Zurich Classic of New Orleans back in April, followed by a triumph at the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open in July after a superb final round on Sunday. In early October, he also managed to defend his title at the Open de España – something that hadn’t been accomplished for over 70 years. Due to his outstanding season, he now holds ten overall titles as a professional golfer and moves into third position in the Official World Golf Ranking.
