Audi Business Cup: good sales performance and service pay off

“This year’s Business Cup shows once again that our partners make a critical con-tribution to Audi’s success with their entrepreneurship and sense of customer needs,” says Wayne-Anthony Griffiths, Head of Sales Germany at AUDI AG, at the award ceremony in Mugello. “Together, we are working with great success to ensure that Germany remains the strong home base for the four rings, despite the fact that current market conditions are not easy.”

It was the fourteenth time that Audi has presented the Business Cup, which recog-nizes consistently superior performance on the part of the dealers in the areas of customer satisfaction, profitability and sales volumes. This comprehensive review includes the evaluation of all business divisions, from the direct check-in in the ser-vice department to the qualifications of employees. In comparison to the past years, the assessment in 2012 employed even more stringent criteria.

In order to assess the yearly performance of the partners on a broader basis, the re-sults from other Audi competitions are also incorporated into the overall ranking. These include the Audi Sales and Service Management Cup, which honors the most successful sales, service and parts managers in Germany; the Audi Sales Professional Cup, which recognizes Audi’s best new car sales people and key account consultants; the Used Car :plus Cup, which focuses on used car sales staff; and finally, the Audi Service Team Cup, in which the service employees of Audi dealers compete.

Since the award ceremony in Mugello, Bernd Glathe, Audi dealer in Hamburg, is also  one of the winners for 2012. His dealership “Autohaus Wichert” repeatedly partici-pated in the Business Cup and was now able to take the prize home to Hamburg for the fourth time. The dealership increased its sales volumes last year significantly and recently invested in the construction of a new Audi terminal, which will be built in the north of the city. “We are delighted that our strategy has paid off and that we can call ourselves Business Cup winners,” Bernd Glathe says. “The prize is an incen-tive to pursue our course and to further delight customers for Audi through the great dedication of our employees.”
