At the traditional Media Talk on Thursday evening before the first competition, the brand with the four rings welcomed athletes from ten alpine national teams. Together with the trainers, officials, guests and media representatives, the winter sports athletes got in the mood for the new season with interviews, photo shoots and many discussions. Highlight is the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships held between 2 and 15 February 2015 in Vail and Beaver Creek (USA).
After St. Moritz, Bormio, Val d’Isère, Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Schladming, Audi also accompanies the competitions in the USA as presenting sponsor and with numerous activities on location. In addition to its role as main sponsor of the Deutscher Skiverband DSV (German Skiing Association) including all national teams, the company is also partner of 15 other alpine national teams. Several athletes not only travel with sporty Audi models when they are not on the slopes, but during preparation also use the training possibilities at the state-of-the-art Audi Wind Tunnel Center in Ingolstadt.
New in the brand’s portfolio is the involvement in Nordic winter sports: from this season, Audi also supports the FIS Cross Country World Cup, the Men’s FIS Ski Jumping World Cup including the Four Hills Tournament and also the FIS Ski Flying World Championships in 2016 and 2018. Audi addresses a young target group through its partnership with the Freeride World Tour. Audi is also partner of the FIS Freestyle World Championship at Kreischberg (Austria), January 15-25, 2015.
