World class field once again at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix

Elina Svitolina (Ukraine), the victor of the WTA Finals in Singapore, will also be appearing in Stuttgart as will the world number two Angelique Kerber (Germany). The Porsche Brand Ambassador claimed the tournament in 2015 and 2016 and this year fulfilled her dream of winning Wimbledon.

In addition to the title-holder Karolina Pliskova (Czech Republic), other Top 10 players to have announced their coming are her teammate and two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova plus Daria Kasatkina (Russia), one of 2018’s most improved players. They will be joined by the former Stuttgart winners Julia Görges (Germany/2011) and Maria Sharapova (Russia/2012, 2013, 2014).

“The fact that we can already present tennis fans with a main draw field containing six top ten players makes us very proud and shows just how much the top stars like to come to us in the Porsche Arena,” says Tournament Director Markus Günthardt. “The world No. 1, the winner of the WTA Finals plus the winners of the Paris and Wimbledon Grand Slams – it can’t get much better. The positive response of the players shows that the overall package is spot on here. I’m so happy for our spectators.”
