The new Fiat Panda K-Way® on the runway in Milan

In a suggestive “prêt-à-porter” fashion setting, today marks the media presentation of a new colourful and functional Special Series, created in collaboration with the quintessential rainproof brand blending casual with fashion. Twenty colour combinations, detailing in titanium tones, specific interiors and a generous series of smart standard fittings: the Panda K-Way® is an ideal choice for the metropolitan-minded customer.

After its world preview at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the new Panda K-Way® Special Series – created in collaboration with the quintessential rainproof brand that blends casual with fashion – is today presented to the international press. These are two brands with a lot in common, famous the world over for products which are classic, contemporary, technological, functional, colourful and intelligent. An example? The new Panda K-Way®, the first product to be “signed” by the two international brands.

The location chosen for this event is Milan’s “La Pelota”, an unusual eclectic multifunctional space in the city’s most fashionable quarter, recently recharged by a radical renovation. Here, exploiting the extraordinary length of the space, an original kind of runway has been prepared, evoking the catwalks of fashion, on which this special new Fiat Panda made its glamorous debut, coinciding with its arrival in Fiat Showrooms in Italy, soon to be followed by those in other European markets.

Targeting dynamic and unashamedly urban customers, the Panda K-Way® offers 20 different colour combinations, confirming this model’s natural predisposition for maximum personalization. In practice, customers can choose any one of six bodywork colours – blue, white, black, red, yellow and orange – and then choose wing mirrors and hubcaps in one of four colours: yellow, orange, blue and titanium.

The assertive personality of the Panda K-Way® is also evident in the way that certain elements are highlighted in titanium, such as the front logo bar, the roof bars, wheel trims and mirror caps. On top of this, the rear doors and the mirror caps boast original K-Way® stickers, and the hubcaps are embellished with the logo of the rainproof brand par excellence.

The same bold personalisation rules the interiors, dominated by seats in blue fabric and grey leatherette, with the K-Way® logo on the front-facing seat surface, as well as on the blue dashboard and the UltraShine silver instrument panel. The distinctive K-Way® colours also stand out on the personalised seat belts, on the key cover and on the floor blue multilayer PVC carpets. Last but not least, the seats have two pockets on the seat back equipped with “VISIBAG®”, the high-visibility vest – pocket safety device created ad hoc for Fiat by its partner K-Way®.

On its launch, the Panda K-Way® offers a wide range of engine options. Depending on the markets, these include 69 HP 1.2 petrol engines and 0.9 TwinAir (65 or 85 HP) options, Bi-fuel 0.9 TwinAir Methane 80 HP and 69 HP 1.2 LPG. Before long a turbodiesel 1.3 Multijet option will be added.

Beyond the K-Way® personalisation, standard fittings also feature an outstanding 6-speaker radio CD/Mp3 set, electric front windows, ABS safety systems including BAS and EBD, headrests on front and rear seats, four airbags (driver, passenger and window bags), GSI (Gear Shift Indicator) and StartStop system (only on TwinAir and Multijet engines).

The collaboration between Fiat and K-Way® also extends into a special licensing, accessories and merchandising line created by Mopar, the dedicated brand for services, Customer Care, original spare parts and accessories for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles brands. The new collection adopts the same style features and materials used by the K-Way® brand, reinterpreted for Panda customers: from foldable rainproof jackets to supermarket shopping bags and from pocket-contents holders to shoppers for trend-setting women. These products are available either on the Fiat store or from certain selected dealers.
