PHIL FLORADAY JOINS HYUNDAI MOTOR AMERICA COMMUNICATIONS TEAM

COSTA MESA, Calif., Jan. 9, 2014 – Hyundai Motor America is proud to announce Phil Floraday as manager, Midwest Product Public Relations. Floraday is an eight-year veteran of the automotive industry and will be based in Superior Township, Mich. at the Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. facility.

Prior to joining Hyundai Motor America, Floraday served as the senior web editor of Automobile Magazine for nearly six years and recently oversaw a complete redesign of www.automobilemag.com. Floraday began his career in the automotive industry in 2005 with an internship at Autoweek.

“We look forward to making use of Phil’s product knowledge and understanding of the news cycle in his new role,” said Jim Trainor, senior group manager, Product Public Relations. “The Midwest is an important hub for the automotive industry and Hyundai is committed to maintaining media relationships in the region.”

Floraday earned his Bachelors of Arts in Visual Communications from Ohio University. In his free time, Floraday enjoys Olympic weightlifting, racing the 24 Hours of LeMons and brewing his own beer.
