NEW YORK – Marcy Maguire of Windsor Nissan in East Windsor, New Jersey, Michael Niethammer of King Windward Nissan in Kaneohe, Hawaii, and Tony Petro of Petro Nissan in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, have been nominated for TIME’s “Dealer of the Year” for 2017.
Now in its 49th year, the TIME “Dealer of the Year” award is one of the automobile industry’s most prestigious honors. Presented in partnership with Ally Financial for the past seven years, the award recognizes dealer nominees and their community service efforts. Each nominated dealer will receive $1,000 from Ally for donation to its charity of choice.
The three Nissan dealers are among 47 dealerships selected out of over 16,500 dealerships nationwide and recognized by an independent panel of faculty members at the Tauber Institute at University of Michigan. These selections are based on high achievement both at the dealership and in their local community.
From this select group, four finalists will be chosen representing each NADA region before one is chosen to be TIME’s 2017 “Dealer of the Year.” That winner will be announced at the annual NADA Show in Las Vegas on March 23.
