Nissan: Nissan production, sales and export results for February 2017

YOKOHAMA, Japan– Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced production, sales and export figures for February 2017.

 

1. Production

Nissan’s global production in February increased 11.1 percent year-on-year to 460,256 units, the 13th consecutive month of increase and a record for the month of February.

Production in Japan increased 14.2 percent year-on-year to 95,715 units, the seventh consecutive month of increase.

Production outside Japan increased 10.3 percent year-on-year to 364,541 units, a record for the month of February, after decreasing the previous month.

In the U.S., production decreased 5.1 percent year-on-year to 83,899 units.

In Mexico, production increased 3.4 percent year-on-year to 73,922 units, a record for the month of February.

In the U.K., production increased 2.6 percent year-on-year to 45,092 units.

In Spain, production increased 2.5 percent year-on-year to 10,579 units.

In China, production increased 50.6 percent year-on-year to 81,864 units.

Production in other regions increased 11.8 percent year-on-year to 69,185 units.

 

2. Sales

Global sales increased 5.9 percent year-on-year to 443,281 units, the seventh consecutive month of increase.

Sales in Japan, including mini-vehicles, increased 4.4 percent year-on-year to 65,645 units, the fourth consecutive month of increase.

  • Vehicle registrations increased 12.8 percent year-on-year to 46,587 units.
  • Mini-vehicle sales decreased 11.7 percent year-on-year to 19,058 units.

Sales outside Japan increased 6.1 percent year-on-year to 377,636 units, a record for the month of February, after decreasing the previous month.

In the U.S., sales increased 3.7 percent year-on-year to 135,740 units, a record for the month of February.

In Mexico, sales increased 4.8 percent year-on-year to 30,078 units, a record for the month of February.

In Europe, sales increased 9.6 percent year-on-year to 64,698 units, a record for the month of February.

In China, sales increased 22.5 percent year-on-year to 74,830 units.

 

3. Exports from Japan

Exports in February increased 25.6 percent year-on-year to 52,745 units, the 10th consecutive month of increase.
