Nissan: Nissan opens its 200th dealership in Canada

  • After four years of consecutive growth, Nissan opens its 200th retail location in Canada, ALBI Nissan Mont-Tremblant
  • Nissan’s 200th dealership underscores the company’s mandate in Canada to deliver the right product, in the right place, at the right time

MISSISSAUGA, ONT. – There are more Nissan customers in Canada than ever before as a result of four years of consecutive sales growth.  Nissan’s sale surge is driven by a multitude of factors, namely a broad spectrum of vehicles in almost every segment, including Canada’s most robust SUV and crossover offering, and a broad-reaching dealer network fully committed to exceptional customer service. In a testament to its success on these fronts, the company reached a milestone on Friday when it opened its 200th dealership in Canada – ALBI Nissan in Mont-Tremblant.

The company continues to govern all business practices with a five-pillar strategy, introduced in 2013. The 200th Nissan dealership in Canada is punctuated by two of those pillars: offer Canadians the right products, at the right time and at the right place, and strengthening partnerships with dealers.

“A satisfied customer is the ultimate reward, and the road to achieve that requires a strategy which has worked very well for us – offering Canadian customers exactly what they need based on timing, and regional market demand,” says Ken Hearn, director, dealer network development, Nissan Canada Inc. “Instead of adopting an aggressive expansion approach to our dealer network, we open new stores based on careful assessment of regional needs. In the example of ALBI Nissan Mont-Tremblant, we see a tremendous opportunity for growth in this area, especially in view of the fact we are the first Japanese brand to arrive in Mont-Tremblant.”

“Dealership staff are on the frontlines when it comes to business growth, and we work as a cohesive team to ensure customer needs are being met at every turn,” says Joni Paiva, president of Nissan Canada Inc. “Today, we celebrate many achievements, namely the collaboration between Nissan Canada and its dealers for this historic occasion. We continue to work with dealers on maximizing their regional presence, while ensuring no potential markets and opportunities are being overlooked.”

The announcement today also signals continued implementation of the latest version of Nissan’s Retail Environment Design Initiative (NREDI 2). In a little over a year, over 14 dealerships in Canada have upgraded to Nissan’s global, state-of-the-art design. Key NREDI 2 features include:

  • A substantially more impactful exterior presence, as well as an open and inviting interior layout.
  • Increased digital assets throughout the dealership enhance the customer’s experience and capitalize on the latest retail science.
  • Visual transparency and openness, exclusive delivery areas, a large, glassed-view to the service area, a customer lounge set up as part of the showroom with the addition of a quiet lounge.

The ongoing transformation of Nissan’s retail spaces this year complements the arrival of all-new product. In spring of 2017, Nissan launched the all-new Qashqai crossover, further bolstering its successful crossover lineup.  The 2018 model year will be marked by exciting new products and new technologies – all in support of Nissan Intelligent Mobility, a global initiative that focuses on how Nissan vehicles are driven, powered and integrated into society. In addition, the all-new 2018 LEAF makes its Canadian debut in early 2018 – with a 241-kilometre driving range, all new design inside and out, and a range of available safety, security and driving assistance technologies including ProPILOT™ Assist.
