Mississauga, Ont. – Today, Nissan Group announced total Canadian sales of 13,437 units for September 2017, an increase of 14.3 per cent and a new September sales record. The Nissan Division also set a September sales record with 12,215 units sold, an increase of 14.4 per cent, and INFINITI set a September sales record with 1,222 units sold, an increase of 13.6 per cent.
In December 2014, Nissan announced that it had exceeded 100,000 yearly sales for the first time in its history. In 2015, Nissan crossed the 100K threshold in November, and in 2016, the company reached the 100K milestone in October. This year, Nissan exceeded 100,000 units sold in September, one-month earlier than last year.
Nissan Division highlights:
- Nissan’s best-selling vehicle in Canada, the Nissan Rogue crossover, continues to see strong sales in September with 3,712 units sold
- Sales of the new 2017 Nissan Qashqai sub-compact SUV were strong with 1,553 units sold in its fourth full month of sales.
- The Pathfinder sport utility vehicle sold 1,035 units in September, an increase of 21.8 per cent.
- The Murano crossover recorded 1,331 units sold, an increase of 17.1 per cent and a September sales record.
- The Nissan TITAN full-size pickup truck set a September sales record with 437 units sold, an increase of 47.6 per cent versus the previous year.
INFINITI highlights:
- The 7-passenger QX60 luxury crossover continues to be INFINITI’s best-seller with 525 units sold in September, up 63.0 per cent and its best month ever.
- The QX50 mid-size luxury crossover recorded 192 units sold, an increase of 16.4 per cent.
- The Q50 sports sedan is INFINITI’s second-best seller in Canada, with 251 units sold.
