Nissan: Nissan Group reports May 2015 Canadian sales

 

MISSISSAUGA, ONT. – Nissan Group today announced total Canadian sales for May 2015, representing the best month in the company’s history at 12,984 units, an increase of 21.8 per cent compared to May 2014. This sales achievement marks 22 consecutive months of record sales growth for the Nissan Group in Canada.

The Nissan brand increased 21.8 per cent with 11,980 units sold, setting a new all-time monthly sales record.  

Nissan Division May highlights:

  • Best month on record for Nissan Group overall at 12,984 sales, an increase of 21.8 per cent.
  • Nissan Division recorded its best-ever month at 11,980 sales, an increase of 21.8 per cent.
  • The 2015 Nissan Micra subcompact celebrated its thirteenth month in market with 1,278 units sold in May, an increase of 45 per cent. This marks the Nissan Micra’s best-ever month since launch in April 2014.
  • The Nissan Rogue crossover set an all-time sales record with 3,595 units sold, marking 18 consecutive months of record sales.
  • In its fifth full month in dealerships, sales of the all-new Nissan Murano crossover increased 151 per cent with 929 units sold, representing its best month ever.
  • The fully-electric Nissan LEAF recorded its best May with 112 units sold, an increase of 10 per cent.
  • The NV200 compact cargo van set a May sales record with 143 units sold, an increase of 40 per cent.
  • Best May on record for the Frontier mid-size pickup truck at 433 units sold, an increase of 45 per cent.
  • Sentra compact sedan sales increased 22 per cent to 1,596 units.

Infiniti May highlights:

Infiniti reported sales of 1,004 units in Canada, an increase of 22.3 per cent versus a year earlier, and a new May record.
