NASHVILLE, Tenn. – For Nissan in 2018, black is the new black – as in the popular Midnight Edition “blackout” component packages. Having sold close to 50,000 Midnight Edition models in the 2017 model – including up to 80 percent of Maxima SR models and typically one-third of other models’ applicable grades – Nissan is expanding the lineup to include Frontier, TITAN and TITAN XD models.
Pricing for six of the nine models, which ranges from $495 for Sentra S and SR grades to $1,395 for Pathfinder SL – was announced today. Midnight Edition Package content varies by model but all feature black alloy wheels, “Midnight Edition” badge and black exterior accents (see below for details). Midnight Editions are available in a choice of Black, Gun Metal and White exterior colors.
Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Prices (MSRP)1 for the 2018 Nissan Midnight Edition Packages:
1. Prices shown are for Midnight Edition Packages only, added to the suggested MSRPs of the base vehicle models and trim levels. Murano, TITAN and TITAN XD Midnight Edition pricing to be announced in conjunction with their model year 2018 releases.
“For 2018, we’ve developed a complete portfolio of the popular blacked-out Midnight Edition look among nine of our most popular Nissan sedans, SUVs and now pickups – each priced at a significant discount on the content if purchased separately,” said Dan Mohnke, senior vice president, Sales Marketing and Operations, Nissan Division U.S., Nissan North America, Inc.
The 2018 Midnight Editions are beginning to arrive at Nissan dealers nationwide now, with some models available later in November and December.
“These dramatic appearing Midnight Edition models reflect the popular aftermarket trend of blackout wheels and trim, but are ready to drive off the dealer lots with full factory quality and warranty coverage,” added Mohnke.
