Nissan: 1995 Nissan 300ZXTT (Z32) Steve Millen SMZ

By 1995, the 300ZX twin turbo was already among the fastest street cars available in the U.S., with 300 horsepower and impressive acceleration to match its aggressive styling. Veteran Nissan racer Steve Millen and his STILLEN performance company took a limited number of these cars and added boost to kick engine performance up to 365hp, stiffened the suspension and added brake capacity to make an already fast car even better on every kind of road. Its 0-60 time of 5.3 seconds and electronically limited 155 mph top speed were top notch performance numbers for its day.

One of the contributing factors to the end of Z32 production in 1996 was price – due in part to the yen-dollar exchange rate. A standard 300ZX TT went for around $45,000 and the SMZ sold for almost $60,000 new. Ironically that’s about what you’ll have to pay to land a clean, low mileage example in today’s market.
