RICHMOND HILL, ON, Oct. 3, 2017 /CNW/ – Mazda Canada Inc. (MCI) today reported September sales of 6,876 vehicles, which represents an increase of 14.4 percent versus September 2016. Sales year-to-date (YTD) are 57,010, which is an increase of 8.1 percent compared to the same period in 2016.
Key September 2017 sales notes:
- Mazda3 sales were up 6.1 percent versus September 2016
- Mazda6 sales jumped 32.6 percent in September, and are up 30.1 percent YTD
- MX-5 sales increased by 35.0 percent compared to September 2016
- CX-3 sales increased 47.5 percent versus the same period last year, representing the best sales month on record
- CX-5 sales were up 3.1 percent YOY, with the best September sales on record
- CX-9 recorded its best September sales on record, up 109.3 percent over September 2016
- Total sales of Mazda’s CX crossover SUV line, including the CX-3, CX-5 and CX-9, were up 19.5 percent YOY with 4,047 vehicles sold in the month of September. Among CX buyers, Mazda customers continue to choose the AWD option, with 82.0 percent of CX-line vehicles sold in September being equipped with i-ACTIV All-Wheel Drive.
