RICHMOND HILL, ON, Aug. 1, 2018 /CNW/ – Mazda Canada Inc. (MCI) today reported July sales of 6,981 vehicles, representing an increase of 5.9 percent versus July 2017. Year-to-date (YTD) sales are 45,630, which is an increase of 5.9 percent compared to the same period in 2017.
KEY JULY SALES NOTES:
- Mazda3 led sales for Mazda Canada in July and took the lead in YTD sales from the CX-5 for the first time in 2018.
- CX-3 set a new record for July with 1,173 sales, which is a 26.5 percent increase compared to July 2017. July was the twelfth consecutive record sales month for CX-3, which is up 37.5 percent YTD.
- CX-5 had its best July sales on record with 2,323 vehicles sold, which is an increase of 12.1 percent year-over-year (YOY).
- CX-9 also enjoyed record sales for July, tying its previous all-time best sales month. CX-9 sales were up 57.9 percent versus July 2017.
- Sales of Mazda’s CX-line remain strong, with CX-3, CX-5 and CX-9 collectively reaching 3,927 vehicles sold in the month of July. This number represents an increase of 20.0 percent YOY, and 20.2 percent YTD, driving growth for Mazda.
