Mazda Canada reports sales for August 2017

RICHMOND HILL, ON, Sept. 1, 2017 /CNW/ – Mazda Canada Inc. (MCI) today reported August sales of 7,036 vehicles, representing an increase of 7.5 percent versus August 2016. Year-to-date (YTD) sales through August are up 7.2 percent compared to last year, with 46,746 vehicles sold.

Key August 2017 sales notes:

  • Mazda3 sales in August were up 12.0% over August 2016, with 2,792 units sold
  • Mazda6 sales were up 87.8% compared to the prior August, and up 29.7% YTD
  • Total sales of Mazda’s CX crossover SUV line – CX-3, CX-5 and CX-9 – were up 1.5% in August and 5.8% YTD
  • Total sales increased 7.5%, led by growth in Mazda’s passenger cars, which were up 15.3% over last August
