“Kia Motors’ Corporate Headquarters and Design Center buildings symbolize the bridging of Eastern and Western cultures,” said John Yoon, vice president of human resources/administration and general counsel, KMA. “This is an honor that not only embodies KMA’s commitment to the U.S. market through leading vehicle and architectural design but also its partnerships and involvement with the local community in Irvine and greater Orange County.”
The 21.7 acre KMA corporate campus a $130-million investment was designed by Skidmore, Owings Merrill LLP. The 239,000-square-foot modern glass and steel main structure features a 36,000-square-foot reflecting pool visible to drivers on Interstate 5.
