KIA MOTORS AMERICA ADDS AUTO INDUSTRY VETERAN JAMES HOPE TO PUBLIC RELATIONS TEAM
IRVINE, Calif., December 6, 2011 – Kia Motors America (KMA) named James Hope national manager of product public relations today, reporting to director of public relations, Scott McKee. In his position, Hope will develop vehicle communication strategy and oversee new model introductions, auto shows, national and regional media events and press fleet operations.
Hope, who worked for KMA earlier in his career, brings more than 17 years of corporate communications and public relations experience to Kia. He joins KMA from Volvo Cars of North America where he organized national and international new vehicle launch programs and managed high-profile publicity and reputation management initiatives.
“James has a wealth of automotive industry knowledge and a proven track record of success, and he will enhance our talented PR team as we continue to expand Kia’s presence in the U.S. market,” said KMA’s director of public relations, Scott McKee. “Kia is the fastest growing car company in the U.S., and we are happy to welcome James back and will look to him to develop communications programs that will appeal to the automotive press as well as lifestyle and new media outlets.”
