“The King’s visit on the jubilee of the Audi A1 is a special honor for the Brussels team,” stated Audi’s Board of Management Member for Human Resources Thomas Sigi. “Our employees here produce the A1 family with experience, skill and passion, and at the same time demonstrate the international competitiveness of the plant in Belgium.”
“We are delighted that King Philippe has visited our plant,” added Patrick Danau, General Director at Audi Brussels. The program for the King’s visit focused on the workforce of Audi Brussels and the new technical developments at the plant. Another aspect that was emphasized was the successful model of dual education and training, with which Audi combines theoretical education at local colleges with practical experience in its apprentice workshops.
Audi has been producing its A1 family at the state-of-the-art plant in Brussels for nearly four years now. “Together with our team, we make a significant contribution to the Group’s growth and competitiveness,” stated Danau.
