Johanna Koch Named Public Relations Manager at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca

MONTEREY, Calif., April 13, 2011- Johanna Koch, with more than 15 years of experience in marketing communications for the hospitality industry, has been named public relations manager at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

In her new role Koch handles day-to-day media relations, raceway promotion, press credentialing and media center management for the raceways 2011 events: Ferrari Racing Days May 20-22, the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series July 9-10, the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix featuring MotoGP World Championship July 22-24, the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion Aug. 19-21, ModSpace American Le Mans Series Monterey presented by Patrn Sept. 16-18 and Porsche Rennsport Reunion IV Oct. 14-16.

Prior to joining Mazda Raceway, Koch, 39, served as director of sales marketing at Ventana Inn Spa in Big Sur, Calif.; marketing director for the San Luis Obispo County (Calif.) Visitors Convention Bureau; marketing communications manager for Sea Island Resorts in Sea Island, Ga.; senior account executive for Hunter Public Relations-Special Events in Pebble Beach, Calif. and public relations assistant and sales associate for Resort at Squaw Creek in Olympic Valley, Calif., at the foot of Squaw Valley USA.

Koch attended college at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. She currently serves as the President of the Junior League of Monterey County and resides in Carmel.
