Azera Joins Elantra, Genesis, Genesis Coupe, Tucson, and Sonata as “Best Bets” For Safety, Reliability and Fuel Efficiency
The Hyundai Azera was named a 2012 “Best Bet” in the Full Size Sedan category by Cars.com, a leading destination for online car shoppers. Azera joins five other Hyundai models previously selected to Cars.com’s 2012 list: Elantra (Compact Sedan), Sonata (Midsize Sedan), Genesis (Luxury Car), Genesis Coupe (Sports Car), and Tucson (Compact SUV/Crossover).
“The redesigned Hyundai Azera offers a roomy cabin, great value for the price and solid reliability,” said Patrick Olsen, Cars.com Editor in Chief. “This vehicle and the others from Hyundai that we have named a ‘best bet’ are vehicles that any of our editors would drive.”
Cars.com Best Bets must meet four criteria: the car must get average or better fuel economy for its segment, the car must have average or better reliability, the car must get average or better scores in crash tests, and Cars.com’s editors must endorse the car. In years past, Cars.com has rolled out their Best Bets once a year, but moving forward they will be adding new models to the list as they are tested and rated.
“It’s an honor to have Cars.com editors recognize the Azera and five other Hyundai models on their list of vehicles to buy in 2012,” said Scott Margason, director, Product Planning, Hyundai Motor America. “Azera offers industry-leading safety technologies, top-tier quality, terrific design both inside and out, and a host of luxury and convenience features that offer more value to today’s car shopper than our competitors in the large sedan segment.”
New for 2012, Azera features a modern, sleek, sophisticated style, creating the illusion of constant motion. This flagship Fluidic Sculpture sedan also features a more powerful Lambda II 3.3-liter GDI engine, six-speed transmission, best-in-class combined fuel economy of 23 miles per gallon and a wide range of advanced safety equipment.
