Hyundai Motor America Vice President of Sales Dave Zuchowski announced two organizational changes in Hyundais sales operations. Derrick Hatami, director of retail operations responsible for national incentives, certified pre-owned (CPO) programs, extended service plans and sales planning activities, has been named regional general manager for the Western Region, replacing Sam Brnovich. Brnovich, who has been the regional general manger for more than three years, will concurrently be replacing Hatami as executive director of retail operations. Both changes were effective June 2, 2010.
Hatami has been with Hyundai for five years, primarily in the areas of product development, pricing, and strategic planning. The role will leverage Hatamis understanding of dealership operations and extensive experience in working with the Dealer Council to identify and resolve dealer issues.
Brnovich has been with Hyundai for six years. Prior to his regional general manger assignment, he spent three years as director of sales and marketing for Hyundai Motor Finance. Brnovich has succeeded in positioning the region for exceptional future growth and prosperity potential. His new assignment will utilize his recent experience in regional operations and extensive captive finance background to develop incentive programs and support CPO and extended service initiatives.
Derrick and Sam have both successfully served in these critical sales operations roles for a number of years, and as our company evolves, we want to ensure that our talent grows with it, said Zuchowski. Its a credit to both of these professionals that we can seamlessly transition assignments, offering each new challenges to advance their own careers, while simultaneously introducing new, cross-functional creativity and energy to their respective roles.”
