H20 International 2011

Berlin, MD — Rainy weather and a new location for the first time in 10 years did little to dampen enthusiasm for this year’s H2O International event, as thousands of modified VWs made their annual pilgrimage to the Ocean City area for two days of contests, events and fellowship. Despite soggy grass, parking frustration and the challenge of setting up shop a little more than 2 miles from last year’s venue, the show asserted itself as one of the most significant VW events on the east coast.

Dubbed by organizers as the “laid back water-cooled VW and Audi event”, H2O didn’t disappoint thanks to a full weekend of show cars, bag riders, vendors and modified cars of all shapes and sizes. The grounds of Blessed Sacrament Catholic School became center stage for everything and everyone who loves VWs (and even a Subaru!), from Mk1s to
