GM Canada January Sales

Oshawa, Ontario (February 3, 2014) — Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac dealers delivered 10,991 vehicles in January 2014.
“Cadillac continues its strong retail performance in the Canadian market with its 16th consecutive month of sales growth,” said John Roth, vice president, sales, service and marketing, GM Canada. “In January, Cadillac retail sales were up 5 per cent, driven by the ATS and SRX.”
Major upcoming launches include all-new large SUVs for Cadillac, GMC and Chevrolet and the award-winning Cadillac ELR. As well, the all-new heavy-duty and mid-size pickups for Chevrolet and GMC will round out GM’s three truck strategy, joining the recently awarded North American Truck of the Year, the Chevrolet Silverado and the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada’s Best New Pick Up, the GMC Sierra. This three truck strategy is designed to meet the needs of the broadest possible customer base by letting them choose precisely the right truck to meet their needs.
January 2014 Sales Highlights
- Sales of the Chevrolet Trax, were up 33 per cent for the month
- Buick total sales were up 21 per cent for the month driven by sales of the Encore
- Sales of the Cadillac ATS were up 26 per cent for the month
Total GM Canada sales were down 20 per cent in January 2014.
