Dipl.-Ing. (TU) Fred Schulze was born on 24 February 1967 in Gardelegen. He is married and has one son.
Schulze studied Production Engineering and then Welding Engineering at the University of Magdeburg.
Schulze began his career at AUDI AG in Neckarsulm in 1992. In October 1993, he was appointed Head of Body Manufacturing Quality Assurance of the Audi A8, the first premium model with an all-aluminium body. In 1998, he was appointed Head of Body Manufacturing in the Audi A2 Production Segment.
In 2004, Schulze transferred to Volkswagen and was appointed Project Manager for the Microbus. In 2006, he was appointed Head of Body Manufacturing for the VW Transporter and the Porsche Panamera. In 2010, he became Head of Production at the VW plant in Emden.
Schulze has been Plant Manager at the Audi Neckarsulm site since January, 1st 2012.
