In the Ford Focus, that handy available feature is called BLIS (Blind Spot Information System) with cross-traffic alert. BLIS helps by letting you know if a vehicle is too close. Lights embedded in the side view mirrors and a message centre provide notification. When parked, the cross-traffic portion lets you know if cars are coming from either side when backing up. Together, you’re able to drive safely on and off the highway. Just think of how useful this would be during the holiday and high shopping season when a parking spot isn’t easy to get in or out of.
Speaking of parking, make parallel parking easier with the ever-helpful available Active Park Assist feature. Not only does this system help you find a spot, it actually steers the vehicle into place while you control the gear shifter, and the brake and accelerator pedals. Say goodbye to stressful parking.
