Close-up experience of the best at Audi Cup

In 2013, the Audi Cup is again billed as “Meet the best.” The participants are top-caliber teams in line with this motto. FC Bayern München as the host will receive the teams from Manchester City FC, AC Milan and São Paulo FC.

At the inaugural event of the tournament in 2009, FC Bayern left the field as the winner and in 2011 the club was only defeated by FC Barcelona in the finale. Aside from serving as a “dress rehearsal” for the new season in the club’s own stadium, the Audi Cup offers Bayern’s new coach Pep Guardiola the opportunity to achieve the first international title with his new club. In the English Champion of the 2011/2012 season Manchester City, the seven-time European Cup winner AC Milan and the three-time World Cup winner São Paulo the competition on the way to winning the trophy that has been specifically designed by Audi is extremely strong.

The playing mode of the Audi Cup promises to deliver superb soccer entertainment. On July 31, two semi-final meetings will take place. The two losing teams will then play for third place on August 1 before the two winners meet in the finale. This means that the spectators will be experiencing all four top clubs on both days. The kick-off times are scheduled for 18:15 and 20:30, respectively.

Facebook fans can find the 2013 Audi Cup at www.facebook.com/AudiCup2013. Aside from a review of the first two tournaments current news on the participating teams and players are available there starting right now.
