and titles. Away from the track too, members of the large BMW
Motorsport family around the world are also creating headlines. The

CTSC: BMW M4 GT4 finishes on the podium again at Sebring.
Second race, second podium for the BMW M4 GT4: After second
place at the Daytona (USA) IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge
(CTSC) season opener in January, the round two race weekend at the
Sebring International Raceway (USA) was also a success for the BMW
teams. Team Classic BMW drivers Toby Grahovec (USA) and Jason Clunie
(CAN) raced the number 26 BMW M4 GT4 to a second-place finish
in the two-hour race on Friday. The duo finished 7.651 seconds behind
the winning number 60 Ford Mustang GT4. The number 82 BimmerWorld
Racing BMW M4 GT4 of James Clay and Tyler Cooke (both USA) – the
second-place finishers last time out – finished 11th. Street Tuner
class victors at Daytona, Devin Jones and Nick Galante (both USA)
raced the number 81 BimmerWorld Racing BMW 328i to a fifth-place
finish, which saw them finish in the points.
24h Nürburgring: Jens Klingmann in action for Falken Motorsports.
With just under eight weeks to go until the 24-hour race gets
underway at the Nürburgring (GER), Falken Motorsports has announced
its driver line-up for the “Green Hell”. In addition to BMW works
driver Jens Klingmann (GER), the trio of Stef Dusseldorp (NED), Peter
Dumbreck (GBR) and Alexandre Imperatori (SUI) will get behind the
wheel of the BMW M6 GT3. Those three drivers contested the endurance
classic as a team last year when they finished in eighth place. GT pro
Klingmann joins them as the new “fourth man” having been in the BMW
driver line-up at the Nürburgring for many years. The 24-hour race at
the Nürburgring will be held on 12th/13th May.
Blancpain GT Series: Three BMW teams to contest the 2018 season.
The new Blancpain GT Series season gathered pace this week with
an official test at Le Castellet (FRA). Like last season, the starting
list includes two BMW M6 GT3 entries for ROWE Racing. Team principal
Hans-Peter Naundorf’s (GER) crew will contest all five races of the
Endurance Cup. The highlight of the season is the 24 Hours of
Spa-Francorchamps (BEL), which takes place on 28th/29th July. In
addition to ROWE Racing, Walkenhorst Motorsport has registered for the
endurance races again with a BMW M6 GT3. In the Sprint Cup, the French
team 3Y Technologies will battle for top positions with a further BMW
M6 GT3. The Blancpain GT Series season gets underway at Zolder (BEL)
on 7th April with the first race weekend of the Sprint Cup.
