Awards for Audi in May and June 2013

OFF ROAD Award 2013 – First place goes to Audi Q3 and Audi A6 allroad quattro
Clear-cut vote for the winners of the OFF ROAD Award 2013: Readers of OFF ROAD magazine voted the Audi Q3 (“Crossover” category) and the Audi A6 allroad quattro (“Luxury Crossover” category) into first place. Overall, four models from Ingolstadt managed to secure a place on the podium. (June 14, 2013)

New “Audi City” sales format scoops multiple awards
International success for “Audi City”: At the ADC Festival in Berlin, the Art Directors Club Deutschland awarded two “Nails” in the Bronze category to AUDI AG’s showroom concept in the “Digital Media/Digital Media Format in the Space” and “Communication in the Space/Permanent Brand-Related Work” categories. The ADC’s awards are regarded as one of the leading accolades in the creative sector. (May 27, 2013)

A specialist jury for the New Media Award gave Silver to the Audi City sales concept in the “Digital Craft” category. The creative competition is run by marketing company InteractiveMedia. At the end of last year, London-based marketing magazine “Contagious” honored Audi City with the “Most Contagious Retail Award” as part of the Most Contagious 2012 awards ceremony. (April 25, 2013)

ANCAP crash test: Top rating for the Audi A3 down under
The new Audi A3 scored a top five-star rating as part of the ANCAP crash test, following on from its top rating in Europe. The Australian counterpart of the Euro NCAP assesses vehicle safety of models available in Australia. (May 22, 2013)

Audi RS 6 Avant is “the sportiest car” in the sport auto AWARD 2013
15,353 readers of sport auto magazine voted for the sportiest cars of 2013. The honors went to the Audi RS 6 Avant in the “Sedan over €100,000” category. The high-performance Avant managed to convince readers and attracted the most votes. Its direct injection twin-turbocharged V8 develops 412 kW (560 hp) from its 3,993 cc displacement. The Avant accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (62.14 mph) in just 3.9 seconds. On request, Audi will increase the car’s top speed from 250 km/h (155.34 mph) to 280 km/h (173.98 mph) or even 305 km/h (189.52 mph). (June 12, 2013)

Reader’s Digest Poland: Audi is the “most trusted brand”
Gold for Audi in the “Trusted Brand 2013 Award” in the Polish edition of Reader’s Digest. Audi was not only mentioned most often by readers as the “most trusted brand”; 70 percent of all those polled would even recommend the brand from Ingolstadt to others. Audi also managed to impress when it came to the “Quality” and “Image” criteria. “European Trusted Brands” is one of Europe’s most comprehensive consumer studies. (May 10, 2013)

2.5-liter TFSI takes “International Engine of the Year” award 2013
A jury made up of 87 motoring journalists from around the world chose the Audi 2.5-liter TFSI as “International Engine of the Year” in the 2.0- to 2.5-liter category for the fourth year running. The Audi TFSI technology is already category winner for the ninth time in succession. “The TT RS is one of the most compelling sports cars on the market. The sound and the power of the humming unconventional engine give the driver a true rally driving feel,” was the jury’s reasoning behind the award. (June 5, 2013)

“Best Navigation Solution” – Award for Audi in the Telematics Update Awards 2013
In the United States, Audi received the “Best Navigation Solution” award for its navigation system MMI navigation plus. This is the fourth “Telematics Update Award” for Audi in a row. Awards went to the modular infotainment platform (MIB) in 2012, Audi connect in 2011, and the MMI function Google Earth navigation in 2010. The award is presented by “Telematics Detroit”, the world’s largest and most important conference for telematics applications. (June 4, 2013)
