Audi welcomed its guests on the red carpet with each passing minute. Prof. Dr. Martin Winterkorn, Chairman of the Board of Management of Volkswagen AG, had accepted the invitation as well as actors Ralf Möller and Thomas Heinze or the former ski stars Martina Ertl-Renz and Markus Wasmeier. Other guests in attendance were the World Endurance Champions and Le Mans winners Marcel Fässler, André Lotterer and Benoît Tréluyer plus the two former DTM Champions Mattias Ekström and Timo Scheider. Rupert Stadler, Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG, welcomed the guests at the hotel “Zur Tenne.”
For an amazing 13th time, Audi is partner of the Hahnenkamm weekend for which Kitzbühel is turning into the “Home of quattro” again this year. Appropriate oversized lighted letters along the slope before the finish of the “Streif” course are bringing a touch of Hollywood to Tyrol. As a perfect match, Audi showcased a spectacular Suzuka Gray Audi R8 Spyder with red interior that caught everyone’s eye during the reception at the outdoor bar.
Again responsible for the subsequent dinner was Chef Jürgen Bartl. Between courses, at the microphone of MC Marco Büchel – a former professional skier who is currently serving as an Audi brand ambassador and expert for the TV channel ZDF – stars such as Felix Neureuther, Ted Ligety and Aksel Lund Svindal provided the guests with impressive accounts of the unique challenges in Kitzbühel.
All attendees at the “Audi Night” – whether CEOs, car racers or alpine skiers – were thrilled with the surprise guest of the evening, British singer Lisa Stansfield, and her hits like “All around the world.” The event held in the heart of Kitzbühel continued late into the night in a superb atmosphere.
