At Golfpark Gut Häusern strokes will be following each other in rapid succession again from May 30 to June 2. For the sixth time, international top-caliber female golfers will be competing for points in the ranking and attractive prizes at the UniCredit Ladies German Open presented by Audi. While the winner can enjoy being awarded with an Audi Q5 Audi will reward a hole-in-one on Hole 15 with an R8 Spyder worth around 160,000 euros. The Ingolstadt-based automobile brand will also provide transportation for the players, officials and VIP guests and equip the shuttle fleet with 25 cars. Furthermore, ten selected female pros will receive an Audi Q3 during the tournament. Visually, Audi is adding some highlights during the German visit of the Ladies European Tour (LET) as well. At the brand’s own golf terminal, current models and daily interview sessions with the players will be awaiting the visitors.
In the 23rd season of the Audi quattro Cup, international entrants will be playing for participation in the world finale to be held in the United States. Last year, 80,000 players from around 50 nations battled in 824 qualification tournaments of the world’s most popular amateur golf tournament series for eligibility to enter the finale. More than a million golfers have been participating in the Cup at Audi’s invitation since its inception in 1991. In 2013, the participants will be competing from April to September in qualification tournaments as “foursomes with selected drive.” From September 2 to 6, the winners will meet in the German finale at Golfresort Berlin Scharmützelsee. On October 7, the two best teams will be heading for Los Angeles/USA to participate in the five-day world finale held at the Trump National Golf Club.
Audi has also extended its partnership with the German Golf Association (DGV) that has existed since 2008. Until at least 2015, the Ingolstadt-based premium brand will be providing the officials of the association that has a membership of more than 600,000 with several cars as its exclusive automobile partner. In addition, the four rings will be featured on the DGV’s membership cards. All accredited players of the DGV can use the internet offering at www.mygolf.de. Audi is the presenting sponsor of the website that contains a wealth of relevant information centered on the small ball – from tournament schedules and contacts through to an ordering facility for golf articles.
Two further golf tournaments feature the four rings as well. Regional Audi partners invite female amateurs to participate in the Audi Ladies Cup. This tournament series that has been held since 1995 takes the ladies out on the putting green at least six times a year at around 120 German golf clubs. For the ninth consecutive time, Audi is supporting the Süddeutsche Zeitung Business Golf Cup. The season tees off on June 5 at the Wittelsbacher Golfclub Rohrenfeld-Neuburg and will continue with 15 one-day tournaments – providing an ideal opportunity to intensify business relations and establish new contacts.
