“On behalf of Audi, I congratulate Carlota Ciganda on her victory,” says Markus Siebrecht, Head of Marketing Germany of AUDI AG. “Naturally, all of us would have wished for better external conditions. But the organizers and the players again made the Ladies German Open a highlight event this year nonetheless. We are pleased to have been involved in the tournament again and to have had the opportunity of contributing our part to it.”
As in previous events, Audi used its sixth presence at the Ladies German Open to inspire the enthusiasm of the players and visitors for the brand. In addition to the Q5 as the main prize for the winner, an Audi R8 Spyder for a ‘hole-in-one’ at Hole 15, ten Audi Q3 as test cars for selected players and 25 cars for the shuttle service, the brand again offered an extensive program for guests.
In test drives, they took the wheel of the current Audi models and obtained information about innovations at the golf terminal. There, the fans also had the opportunity to listen to interviews with the golfers and guests – players of ERC Ingolstadt, ski crosser Daniel Bohnacker as well as Olympic gold medalists Ole Bischof (judo) and Sebastian Brendel (canoeing C-1). Michael Greis (biathlon Olympic gold medalist) and Maximilian Müller (hockey Olympic gold medalist) participated in the ProAm tournament at Audi’s invitation.
