For their committed efforts in the year 2014, Audi employees will once again participate in the company’s success. The employees at the sites in Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm paid according to collective-bargaining agreements will receive an average amount of €6,540. Job applicants currently have good prospects of joining the successful company: The brand with the Four Rings plans to recruit more than 6,000 new employees for innovative areas of work this year, of whom 4,000 will be recruited in Germany.
AUDI AG set another record in the year 2014 with deliveries of 1.74 million cars to its customers. “This success is due also to the commitment and creative ideas of our employees,” stated Audi’s Board of Management Member for Human Resources Thomas Sigi. “In an economically challenging year, they consistently continued our product and technology offensive. Whoever shows such commitment should also profit personally from the company’s success.”
The employees of Audi are entitled to a profit‑sharing bonus – that is the conviction of Peter Mosch, Chairman of the General Works Council. “The employees write our successful story. It is they who make ‘Vorsprung durch Technik’ possible. That’s why it is more than fair that the employees participate also financially.”
Employees paid according to collective bargaining agreements will receive an average Audi profit‑sharing bonus of €6,540. This amount is somewhat lower than in the previous year (€6,900), because the number of persons eligible has increased by 4,000 while operating profit is only slightly higher than in 2013. This year, the company will once again use part of the profit share to strengthen the company pension, with which employees can additionally provide for their future retirement.
The company stands out as an employer with attractive wages, more than 200 work‑time models, international development possibilities and offers for families and health care. It is also highly appealing to graduates and people with professional experience, as demonstrated by numerous awards received in the employer rankings in 2014. Opportunities of joining the successful automobile manufacturer remain good: In 2015, Audi plans to recruit another 3,200 new employees in Germany, above all for the competence areas of lightweight construction, connectivity and electric mobility. Advancing digitalization also offers exciting areas of work. In addition, the brand with the Four Rings continues to prioritize occupational training: In September 2015, more than 760 young people will start apprenticeships in 22 occupations or on a dual course of study.
Around the world, the Audi family has now passed the mark of 80,000 employees. Most of the new recruitment in 2014 was at the plants in Germany, which took on 4,548 new employees. Audi Hungaria recruited 1,686 new employees, mainly for the expansion into a full production plant. At Audi México, approximately 880 skilled workers were taken on for the new plant in San José Chiapa. “These people will shape the mobility of tomorrow with us. With their diversity, we intend to place our growth on an international foundation,” added Audi’s Board of Management Member for Human Resources Thomas Sigi. In total, 8,190 new entrants strengthened Audi at its worldwide sites last year.
