— Mazda3 sees best October sales in its ten year history —
TORONTO, Nov. 1, 2013 /CNW/ – Mazda Canada announced sales for October
2013 today totaling 5,786, marking the best October sales since 2008.
Sales in October increased 14% compared to the previous year.
Sales in October were led by the compact Mazda3, with 3,821 sold. In its
first full month on sale, the all-new 2014 Mazda3 clearly resonated
with consumers, helping to increase the carline’s sales by 52% over
October 2012. 63% of all Mazda3s sold in October were equipped with the
fuel-efficient SKYACTIV Technology, which also accounted for 65% of all
Mazda vehicles sold in the month of October.
“Our dealers and consumers are equally excited to see the all-new 2014
Mazda3 now in dealer showrooms, as proved by the first full month on
sale,” said David Klan, Senior Director, Sales, Marketing Regional
Operations. “With such a successful start, I think everyone would agree
we have a winner on our hands.”
With total sales of 1,167, the 2014 CX-5 has now enjoyed nine
consecutive months of increased sales, rising year-over-year by 22% and
57% year-to-date compared to 2012.
