Mazda Canada sales results for August 2013

— CX-5 continues its uptrend with third record sales month in 2013 —

TORONTO, Sept. 4, 2013 /CNW/ – Mazda Canada announced sales for August
2013 today totaling 7,077, which represents an increase of 5% compared
to August 2012. Total year-to-date sales of 49,957 are down by 2%
versus 2012.

Sales in August were led by the compact Mazda3, with 3,916 sold. Over
60% of all Mazda3s sold in August were equipped with the fuel-efficient
SKYACTIV Technology, which also accounted for 66% of total vehicles
sold in August. With total sales of 1,939, the 2014 CX-5 once again
broke its previous best monthly sales record for the third time in
2013, increasing the year-over-year sales by 130% and is up
year-to-date 61% compared to 2012.
