FIS Alpine World Ski Championships: Audi converts Schladming into “home of quattro”
- Audi is again presenting sponsor of World Ski Championships
- Attractive offers for athletes, spectators and guests
- Extensive service for international media representatives
St. Moritz, Bormio, Val d’Isère, Garmisch-Partenkirchen and now Schladming: When the Alpine World Ski Championships are officially opened tomorrow night Audi will again be part of the program as the presenting sponsor. The brand based in Ingolstadt features an extensive range of attractions for athletes and spectators in Styria. In Vail/Beaver Creek (USA, 2015) and St. Moritz (Switzerland, 2017), Audi will assume the presenting sponsorship commitment as well.
For two weeks, Schladming will be converted into the home of quattro – as can be seen at first glance. Whether advertising boards, the back wall for the podium ceremonies, the exit gate, the leaderboard, the start houses, the stage on Medal Plaza or over-sized lighted letters along the course: Audi is using the competitions to present the permanent all-wheel drive to an international audience of sports enthusiasts, with Schladming billed as “Home of quattro.”
In exhibition areas throughout the town, visitors have the opportunity to get to know current Audi models. Audi is equipping the shuttle fleet of the organizational committee with 60 cars, including Audi Q5 and Audi Q7 models as well as a stretch version of the Audi A8. Plus the medal winners will be chauffeured in an Audi to the podium ceremony on Medal Plaza in the evening. Anyone eager to personally experience the sportiness of an Audi has the chance of winning a slot to participate in an exclusive Audi driving experience in a competition at the “Fantreff” meeting place downtown. At night, the Audi Lounge directly next to Medal Plaza is open where toque award-winning chef Gerhard Fuchs prepares tasty samples of his culinary repertoire.
