GM Canada Sales Up 2 Per Cent

Oshawa, Ontario (June 3, 2013) — Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac dealers delivered 23,654 vehicles in May 2013, an increase of 2 per cent for the month.
“The Cadillac ATS, the North American Car of the Year, and the Canadian-built XTS are attracting passionate luxury customers to Cadillac,” said Marc Comeau, GM of Canada’s vice-president of sales, service and marketing. “These two new vehicles drove Cadillac sales up more than 55 per cent for the month. When the new CTS joins the Cadillac portfolio later this year, Cadillac’s car line up will be all-new featuring the performance, design and technology desired by luxury drivers.”

May 2013 Sales Highlights
- Total Chevrolet car sales were up 5 per cent for the month, driven by sales of the iconic Chevrolet Camaro which was up 29 per cent for the month
- Buick crossover sales were up 51 per cent for the month, driven by sales of the all-new Buick Encore
- Cadillac sales are up 30 per cent for the year
- Sales of the GMC Terrain were up 9 per cent for the month
Total GM sales were up 2 per cent compared to last May.
