— Refreshed CX-9 sees best January on record —
RICHMOND HILL, ON, Feb. 1, 2013 /CNW/ – Mazda Canada announced sales for January 2013 today totaling 3,752, which represents an increase of 1% compared to January 2012.
The refreshed 2013 CX-9 seven-passenger crossover sold in record numbers in January, marking an impressive increase of 125% for the best January sales ever. The all-new 2014 Mazda6 arrived at dealerships in January, driving sales upwards 118%. The Mazda6 enjoyed its best January sales since 2005.
“Our new SKYACTIV Technology is making a big statement, and consumers are responding to it with enthusiasm,” noted David Klan, Senior Director of Sales, Marketing and Regional Operations at Mazda Canada. “The bold emotional styling, unparalleled driving characteristics and top-of-class fuel economy in the all-new Mazda6 is going to change the way people look at the typical mid-size sedan.”
Sales for Mazda Canada in January were led by the popular Mazda3 compact, which sold a total of 1,658 units. Consumers appreciate the exceptional fuel efficiency of the SKYACTIV-equipped Mazda3, which accounted for 67% of all Mazda3 sales in January, once again leading the majority of sales.
