Nissan: Nissan Group reports March 2016 and 2015 fiscal year total Canadian sales

 

MISSISSAUGA, ONT. – Nissan Group today announced monthly Canadian sales of 12,601 units, an increase of 12.7 per cent over last year and the best March in the company’s history. This sales achievement marks 32 consecutive months of record sales for the Nissan Group in Canada.

Nissan brand sales increased 12.9 per cent with 11,463 units sold, setting a new March sales record.

For the company’s 2015 fiscal year, Nissan set an all-time record with 133,770 total Canadian sales, an increase of 13.3 per cent over its 2014 fiscal year.

Nissan Division 2015 fiscal year highlights:

  • In fiscal year 2015, Nissan Division set an all-time record in Canada 122,057 total sales, an increase of 13.1 per cent over its 2014 fiscal year.
  • Nissan also set fiscal year sales records for Rogue, Micra, LEAF, JUKE, Murano, Pathfinder, Armada, Frontier, and NV200.

Nissan Division March highlights:

  • Nissan’s best-selling vehicle in Canada – the Nissan Rogue crossover – set a March record at 2,993 – an increase of 3.1 per cent, marking 28 consecutive months of record sales.
  • The Murano crossover set a new all-time sales record at 1,270 units, an increase of 69.8 per cent.
  • The NV200 compact cargo van also set an all-time sales record at 226 units, an increase of 39.5 per cent.
  • Sales of the Pathfinder sport utility vehicle increased 17.0 per cent to 1,073 units, a March sales record.
  • Sales of the Frontier pickup truck set a March record at 453, up 111.7 per cent.
  • Sales of the Micra subcompact hatchback set a March record at 1,184 up 16.9 per cent.
  • Sales of the fully-electric LEAF increased 32.4 percent to 98 setting a March record.
  • Sales of the Maxima sport sedan increased 451.9 per cent to 287 units.
  • Sales of the 370Z sports car increased 238.1 per cent to 142 units.

Infiniti 2015 fiscal year highlights:

  • In fiscal year 2015, Infiniti set an all-time record with 11,713 total sales in Canada, an increase of 16.2 per cent.
  • Infiniti set fiscal year sales records for QX50, QX60, and QX80.

Infiniti March highlights:

  • Infiniti reported sales of 1,138, an increase of 11.0 per cent versus a year earlier. This marks the best March for Infiniti in Canada.
  • Infiniti crossovers and sport utility vehicles continued to be in demand with the QX80 full-size luxury SUV setting an all-time sales record of 100 units, an increase of 40.8 per cent.
  • The QX50 luxury compact crossover set a March sales record with 252 units sold, an increase of 20.6 per cent.
  • The QX60 luxury crossover also set a March sales record with 419 units sold, an increase of 30.9 per cent.
