Nissan: Nissan Group reports August 2015 Canadian sales

MISSISSAUGA, ONT. – Nissan Group today announced monthly Canadian sales of 11,840 units, an increase of 9.6 per cent over last year and the best August in the company’s history. This sales achievement marks 25 consecutive months of record sales for the Nissan Group in Canada.

Nissan brand sales increased 9.4 per cent with 10,854 units sold, setting a new August sales record.

Nissan Division August highlights:

  • Nissan’s best-selling vehicle in Canada – the Nissan Rogue crossover – set an August record at 3,632 – an increase of 29.7 per cent, marking 21 consecutive months of record sales.
  • Sales of the all-new Murano increased 45.0 per cent with 844 units sold, setting a new August record.
  • The fully-electric LEAF also set an August sales record with 124 units sold, an increase of 9.7 per cent
  • Both the Frontier and Titan pickup trucks recorded best-ever August sales up 111.7 and 98.3 per cent, respectively.
  • In its second full month in Nissan dealerships, sales of the Maxima sport sedan increased 89.0 per cent to 189 units.
  • The Micra subcompact’s sales increased 28.3 per cent with 1,116 units sold.
  • The 370Z sports car continues to post monthly gains with sales up 117.6 per cent this month.

Infiniti August highlights:

  • Infiniti reported sales of 986 units in Canada, an increase of 12.4 per cent versus a year earlier and a new August record.
  • The QX80 full-size performance luxury SUV recorded its best August ever with sales increasing 89.2 per cent.
  • Sales of the QX60 luxury crossover increased 13.2 per cent to 317, setting a new August record.
