Oshawa, Ontario (July 4, 2016) — Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac dealers delivered 26,045 vehicles in June 2016, an increase of 8 per cent compared to June 2015.  Retail sales are up 19 per cent for the month and 6 per cent calendar-year-to-date. 

Jerry Daniel, general director, sales, service and marketing for GM Canada said, “Our retail-focused strategy is driving our growth and our product lineup has never been stronger. We are excited to bring even more new vehicles for Canadians during our year of nine launches across our Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac cars, trucks and crossovers.”

June 2016 Sales Highlights:

  • Chevrolet sales are up 5 per cent for the month of June driven by sales of the Spark (up 261 per cent), Volt (up 167 per cent ), Impala (up 18 per cent), the Chevrolet Crossover family (Trax/Equinox/Traverse) up a combined increase of 20 per cent, Colorado (up 8 per cent), Silverado (up 8 per cent), Suburban (up 258 per cent) and Tahoe (up 98 per cent)
  • GMC sales have experienced their best first half of the year since 1989 and for the month of June, GMC sales increased 7 per cent led by sales of GMC SUV/Utilities up 32 per cent (Yukon up 226 per cent and Terrain up 13 per cent), Canyon (up 40 per cent) and Sierra HD (up 12 per cent)
  • Buick sales increased 27 per cent for the month driven by sales of the Regal (up 53 per cent), LaCrosse (up 124 per cent), Encore (up 20 per cent) and Enclave (up 55 per cent)
  • Cadillac sales are up 14 per cent for the month led by sales of Cadillac SUVs and Crossovers (up 43 per cent)

Data is not adjusted for the difference in selling days; June 2016 had 26 selling days and June 2015 had 25 selling days.
