FCA México Reports May Sales of 7,323 Units

In May, FCA México recorded sales of 7,323 units.
 
“Last month, we launched the most powerful and fastest SUV, the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, which offers a 6.2L V-8 supercharged engine delivering 707 hp. This engine is proudly assmbled in our Saltillo North Engine Plant,” said Bruno Cattori, President CEO of FCA México. “With this launch, we continue to demonstrate that the Jeep® brand has the most renewed portfolio in the industry.”
 
Alfa Romeo
Last month, Alfa Romeo sold 30 units, up 20 percent versus prior year. Alfa Romeo MiTo sold 7 units. Alfa Romeo Giulietta, the hatchbak that combines sport design and Italian elegance, showed a sales increase of 29 percent; while Alfa Romeo Giulia sales improved 100 percent.
 
Chrysler
Chrysler recorded sales of 30 units.
 
Dodge
Dodge had sales of 2,363 units. Dodge Attitude continued as sales leader for the brand, selling 1,533 units, up 13 percent versus 2017; best May in its history. Dodge Grand Caravan, with a wide range of flexibility due to configurations, showed a 13 percent sales increase. Dodge Vision sales rose 7 percent.
 
FIAT
FIAT sold 837 units. Fiat Palio Adventure recorded best May sales in its history. On the other hand, Fiat Mobi sold 414 units, while Fiat Uno sold 314 units.
 
Last month, the revamped Fiat 500L was launched in the Mexican market with important technology and interior design updates. This vehicle is designed to have more interior space, in addition to a perfect range of panoramic visibility.
 
Jeep 
Last month, Jeep placed in the Mexican market 1,076 units. Jeep Wrangler, the flagship of the brand, sold 355 units; best May ever. Jeep Renegade achieved sales of 238 units, leading the premium small SUV segment. Jeep Compass sold 197 units, leading the premium compact SUV segment. Jeep Grand Cherokee sold 266 units.
 
Last month, FCA Mexico launched the most powerful and fastest Jeep in its history, the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, which offers a 6.2L V-8 supercharged engine delivering 707 hp. This engine is proudly assembled in our Saltillo North Engine Plant. The model has world-class driving dynamics that provides a new performance level, achieving 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, a quarter mile in 11.6 seconds, a maximum speed of 290 km/h and a breaking distance from 100-0 km/h in 35 meters.
 
Mitsubishi Motors
Mitsubishi Motors Mexico sold 1,121 units, an 11 percent increase versus previous year. Mitsubishi L200 sales improved 30 percent versus 2017; best May ever. Mitsubishi Mirage, the entry vehicle of the brand portfolio, reached sales of 475 units.
 
Ram
Ram brand achieved best May sales ever with 1,866 units, up 5 percent versus 2017. Vehicles of Ram Commercial, Luxury and Sport divisions showed a sales improvement. In the commercial division, Ram 700 and Ram ProMaster Rapid recorded their best May ever, posting sales of 806 units and 417 units, respectively. Ram Crew Cab sales increased 7 percent while Ram Heavy Duty sales improved 36 percent.
