Porsche Supervisory Board announces new appointments

Atlanta, Georgia. The Porsche Supervisory Board announced today that Albrecht Reimold is new Member of the Executive Board for Production and Logistics at Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG. He takes up his post on February 1, 2016. In this role Reimold succeeds Dr. Oliver Blume, who since October has been Chairman of the Porsche Executive Board. Reimold will be moving to Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen from Bratislava, where for four years he managed the Volkswagen plant, where the Porsche Cayenne body is also made. The Supervisory Board also appointed Jürgen Rittersberger as Executive Manager for Porsche AG with immediate effect.

Commenting on the appointment of the new Member of the Executive Board for Production and Logistics, Chairman of the Supervisory Board Dr. Wolfgang Porsche said: “Over his many years of working in various roles at the Volkswagen Group, Albrecht Reimold has built up great knowledge. Porsche will benefit significantly from this.” Chairman of the Porsche Executive Board Dr. Oliver Blume emphasized: “I have come to know Albrecht Reimold as a well-informed team player. For that reason too, he’s the right man for us. He knows that in order to achieve the best product quality it’s the people in the factories that matter.”

Uwe Hück, Chairman of the Company Works Council and Deputy Chairman of the Porsche AG Supervisory Board: “We Porsche people are successful and modest. We therefore also need executive board members who are modest. Albrecht Reimold fits the bill. He’s a Baden-Württemberg boy, so I need say no more! It’s clear to the new production director, as it was to his predecessor, that without the colleagues in the production division he can’t build any cars. And he’s familiar with our co-determination, the Porsche culture and zeal. We’re certain that we’ll be able to carry on seamlessly with him the successful collaboration that we had with his predecessor, Oliver Blume.”

Albrecht Reimold is originally from Baden-Württemberg. After training to be a toolmaker and then studying production technology in Heilbronn, he began his professional career as a trainee at Audi. In 1993 in Neckarsulm, he took over management of the A8 body construction unit and five years later of the A2 manufacturing division. From 2002, Reimold had responsibility for the production planning of the A6, A8 and R8 models. He was also responsible for the Audi Neckarsulm plant’s planning division, which he managed for three years before being appointed Chairman of the Executive Board at Volkswagen Slovakia in Bratislava. Reimold gained international experience through having responsibility for the production planning of the Changchun site in China.

New Executive Manager Jürgen Rittersberger has been with Porsche since 2002, working initially as a project manager in the Porsche process optimization department and then five years later as Head of Central Office of the then newly formed Porsche Automobil Holding SE. In 2010, the information systems graduate moved back to Porsche AG and since then has worked there as Vice President General Secretariat and Business Development.
